Photodynamic therapy simultaneously induces ferroptosis-and apoptosis-like lipid signatures in ovarian cancer cells

In this study, we examined the impact of photodynamic therapy (PDT) on the cancer cell lipidome through the lens of apoptosis vs. ferroptosis. It turns out that PDT engages both non-overlapping lipidomic axes, providing an opportunity to overcome treatment resistance.
